This Akoma hairpin fabric is inspired by the Adkinkra symbols originally created by the Akan of Ghana and the Gyaman of Ivory Coast in West Africa. Akoma means 'heart' and it is a symbol of love. As Adinkra, the heart shape stands for patience and forbearance.

Metallic gold hairpins are printed on the navy blue cotton fabric. This fabric is made in Japan for Cotton+Steel and printed on unbleached cotton.
